When you hear the word virus, might think of diseases like rabies, influenza, or COVID-19. Viruses are organisms that must infect living cells to reproduce. Studies done on grown in lab, called cell cultures, have contributed significantly our understanding viral and development treatments vaccines. In laboratory, can be layers three-dimensional systems. By infecting cultures with viruses, scientists study various aspects infection, such as how virus gets into respond infection. Knowledge gained from viruses has helped vastly improve human health!
